Westralia Square Project

Westralia Square 2 is the first composite Steel & CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) building to be built in Perth. Barrier Passive Fire protection worked closely with Built and the fire engineers to assist in achieving the required FRL as economically as possible.

We treated all the internal structural steel with Cafco 300 spray and all the external structural steel with Fendolite II. Where the structural columns penetrated the timber floor, we also closed and treated all the gaps with Batt & Mastic to maintain the FRL.
